Just Heavy Equipment! #4 – More Tree Planting

Just planting some trees at a golf course. I used the Hitachi ZX 75 to dig the holes, and they were placed with a small loader, and backfilled mostly by hand. No air guitars!

    Accually those holes are perfect. I do landscaping and your supposed to dig the hole a fair bit bigger then the root ball. The looser soil makes it easier for the young and gragile roots to take hold, opposed to the hard naturally compacted soil where its harder for the roots to penetrate.

    perhaps there are less players playing golf in the winter :o P

    at least the ground should be less damaged because it is frozen and not that soft when using heavy equipment I think ;o)
