    I drive a transfer …
I drive a transfer here in California. We use a battery and a starter motor to move the box on and off the chassis. Also, our weight limit is only 40 Tons. I can legally haul 25.48 tons in my truck. Very cool video.

looks good ! No good where I live in the UK , Most deliveries are made by 4 axle dumpers with 20 ton payload. I drive a 29 ton payload unit and semi trailer dumper I can see the benefits of this system , good video!

I dont get it why …
I dont get it why not use a simple container-truck? much shorter, easy to change the container, fast to change the load and you can get containers in all different sizes, open or closed.

    Looks complicated.. …
Looks complicated… Here in Finland those type of trucks are pretty common, and usually that transfer is automatic, you only have to back the truck into trailer. You don’t even have to get out of the cab…

  15. Weldaz1 says:

    Forgot to say, we …
Forgot to say, we got a lot of transfers here in the Islands, like using an end dump where you can’t get in except with a Tandem.

  16. Weldaz1 says:

    Hey Kimchi, I drove …
Hey Kimchi, I drove semi end dump on a pier extension at Kawaihae Harbor on the Big Island here in Hawaii, and I put all my material in the water…nothing to scrape off the pier. Seeing his tires hanging like that brought back memories. The Hawaiian Dredging guys asked David Souza “where did you find this guy?!” But I’m known for putting a smei where they say it won’t fit. When they ask me how…I just say: “if no fit, use spit!!!”

  17. TimKelly0 says:

    dose that fall out
    dose that fall out

  18. kimchiman1000 says:

    Possibly, but I …
Possibly, but I think it’s more about configuration, and being able to fit the truck into a job site.

Transfers can dump pretty much anywhere a straight tandem can dump, which is something end dumps can’t do in most cases.

    Instead of going …
Instead of going through all that trouble, querrys should just load these trucks with atleast 95000lbs of materials. Though illegal but it works the same and saves half the time.
