Need theme for high school senior football portrait…?

My studio photographs the local high school football team. We cover all the games for the newspaper and shoot the individual and team shots for the Freshmen, JV and Varsity. The seniors always do a special 'theme' shot. One year we did "The Demolition Team" We had a large piece of Heavy Equipment on the field and all the senior players came dressed in work boots, jeans, construction hats and sledge hammers.
The next year we did "The Enforcers". We posed them in front of an old mansion with two beautiful vintage cars from the '30s and the guys dressed in dark suits like 'G Men" They all had bats and Tommie Guns. It was totally cool and they all LOVED it. (School board didn't because of Zero Tolerance and the guns but the team did!)
Now we need to shoot this years team and my mind is blank for a theme.
Any ideas? Something cool and threatening for the opposing teams? The captains are do in on Friday to discuss the ideas. I appreciate any impute! Needs to be full of fun and hip!

The construction theme gets overdone.

Do you have a dam nearby? There are a couple of directions you could go with that; an impenetrable wall, unstoppable force (of water), electricity/power generation …

Or a graveyard. (If the district didn't like the tommie gun thing, they'll HATE this one.) "Lights out", "Dirt nap", "Gravediggers", "Grave concern" …

A heavy-equipment dealer. Stand them around a big CAT end-loader or some other intimidating piece of construction equipment. "Bringing the load" … (Be careful that they're not doing an endorsement for the dealer, or they'll lose their eligibility.)

Which brings to mind the Transformers, which have been big this summer. If you can be creative with Photoshop, you might be able to touch on the "transformation" theme with a big truck/semi/end-loader and some tough-ass robot.

Go with something connected to the school mascot or name. We were the Spartans so I would go with a Greek warrior theme. Animals pretty easy to get some ideas. Your demolition team ideas was used by the NE Patriots a few years ago when they were building the new stadium pretty cool idea. Blues Brothers, Top Gun, cool ideas based on movies.

I agree that you could try and think of something connected with the team colors and/or mascot. I am thinking of something like the Vikings "Purple People Eaters", the Broncos "Orange Crush" defense or Pittsburgh's "Steel Curtain". Your previous ideas sound pretty cool. Good luck!

High rollers? Could find a Roles Roice or Ferrari or something and take the picture with them around it. My schools basketball team took pics around a couple "rock-crawler" Jeep CJs and it looked pretty sweet.
