National Guard Recruiter?
I talked a national guard recruiter yesterday because i didnt know there was an active duty recruiter around. anyway, he is taking me a state away to take the ASVAB. I have signed 2 criminal check papers, 1 parental consent paper with my mom, 1 paper for consent ofr the ASVAB test, and 3 papers saying that im in pysically good shape. do you think the recruiter is going to expect me to join because he is doing all of this for me? i never told him that i wanted to join and that i really only wanted to go active duty so that i would actually learn a skill such as a Heavy Equipment operator… thank you!
Good luck in Iraq!

They can’t force you to do anything you can talk to him when you go to take the asvab about what you want to do.

he’s going to pressure you. He isn’t giving you this much time for you to walk out. If you don’t want to do this, don’t go. If you don’t have the spine to say no, bring a friend or parent. Good luck.

yes! be carefull on what you are signing, it sounds like you have already signed some time in. becuase the parent consent form allows for you to serve time! so you probably already have 2-4 years

i agree with jd on this one, its hard, ive been there with the marines(AD), i really only wanted to go guard so i can go to college, you just have to grab a pair and tell him, then get hooked up with the respective recruiter! –SPC Dyar– “hey its kinda like a beach here, errr…only not so much…”

Just find an AD recruiter. I had a similar situation with a NG recruiter. Not good. If you want to go active, GO ACTIVE. Don’t settle, for ANYTHING.
