professions abroad are certainly an exciting notion, but you have to be really vigilant of the legislative implications, if you don’t perform your research well, there can be regrettable results! The website in the box below has a lot of instruction on professions abroad, my pal uncovered it, now he is a barman in Tasmania!

It is thought that the earliest spurs were probably made from bone or wood. Spurs have been used by horsemen and cowboys throughout the ages. In its earliest days the spur and the metal it was made with were a mark of rank. This is where the expression to “earn your spurs” came from. As punishment a knight would have his spurs and sword broken and taken away as part of his disgrace Rowels came along in France or Spain in the 10th Century or so and evolved through the Northern European and Spanish cultures according to their needs at the time. The Rowel of a spur is usually round and spins like a wheel with spikes that attach to the neck or shank of the spur. It is the part that actually touches the horse and makes a jingle noise when the rider is walking around.
Spurs are best known in the American West for use with the American cowboys. Spur styles continue to change just as the saddle, chaps and all other horse-riding equipment has changed over the years. The influence of early Spanish design is still evident in today’s spurs. Chaps also influenced the spur in that where long chaps are worn, a dropped heel pattern and a chap guard were invented. The chap guard has a curved blunt piece that comes out on the shank just behind the heel which keeps the chap away from the rowel. The rowel is usually sharp and could tear up the leather of your chap in no time.
There are as many spur designs as their are horses in Wyoming and every maker tends to put their own special interest and personality to each one. Western style spurs tend to be heavy and are often decorated with rowels that rotate or spin. The neck of the spur is longer than others to fit the style of the western rider. The English spur is very different as it is lighter and more slim. It has a short neck with usually no rowel. The English spur has a blunt projection that is usually rounded. There are some English spurs that use a rowel, but they are rounded with no spikes and are used in sports requiring finesse such as dressage. Its goal is not to speed the horse up but to control his movements in precise complex movements.
A few types of spurs are: Prince of Wales style, The Disk style, Swan neck with rowels and the Waterford spur. They are divided in to Men’s, Women’s and Children’s, according to the width of the spur. They also come in different neck lengths.
There are also modern type spurs used by motorcyclists. They are basically worn as foot jewelry that are hung off of the leather motorcycle boots. They are sometimes similar to spurs worn by equestrians and can actually be a safety tool as some of them have bright material that can worn motor vehicle drivers of their presence on the road. They can even add small strobing LED lights to them for added safety at night.
In any case, the spur has had a long history and multiple uses even in modern day. They will always be ultimately thought of as a tool of the American cowboy in the end.

Earth Moving or Heavy Equipment Training in Australia?
Posted on Dec 14, 2009 under Heavy Equipment | 1 CommentI would like to know where is the cheapest place to do heavy equipment training in Australia? How come in Australia we don’t have better training in Heavy Equipment Training like hours spent on a machine? In Canada and the USA they have 5 weeks on machinery and in Australia we have 2 days on a machine. How are people suppose to get work in Australia with limited experience on machinery from the courses that we do.

When you shape the kitchen interior, the greatest problems are connected with drawbacks of planning and lack of space. Appropriately chosen kitchen furniture can resolve this situation, even more so that variety of models gives such an opportunity. The main thing is to imagine how your own kitchen âacts outâ, i.e. even on the stage of planning you are to foresee conformity of all objects and their sizes. Believe us, this will greatly facilitate the whole process, up to setting the last shelf in the dresser.
So, you have already made up the list of all kitchen equipment with indication of its size. Now pay attention to technical details, such as dimensions and location of the ventilation, pipes, wiring, sockets, flexible (gas, water-supply) hoses etc. Enter all necessary âstuffingâ in your list â and you can set off for the shop to make your choice. If you are going to buy all elements of kitchen interior separately, donât forget that the standard depth of household appliances is 600 mm, so check in advance the parameters of the things you need.
The dominant is high storage cabinets for storing foodstuffs and high cabinets for storing inventory (brushes, brooms etc). It is necessary to remember that they should not break off the work surface and they should not be located on the âoutskirtsâ of your kitchen field. If you prefer an inbuilt grill or oven, it is the high storage cabinet that will accommodate them without breaking the uniformity. Besides you can pick up the height of their location, so that it is convenient for you.
Now letâs touch upon on-floor cabinets. They are the basis of your workspace, their height directly affects the extent of your handsâ fatigue after cooking food, a great amount of drawers on rollers can help simplify reaching out for any object of kitchen interior that you need at the moment. We advise that you plan the space of on-floor cabinets in such a way, that the most frequently used objects could be easily accessed (pullout rotating shelves), while the rarely used dishware can be placed on the ordinary shelves.
A detail: trays and baking sheets can be conveniently settled in the plinth case under the on-floor table, which in fact, can have any width, depending on your requirements. If the height of the on-floor cabinet (preparation table) is not convenient for you, the plinth will add several centimeters, necessary for your accommodation and will relieve your hands and back of overstrain. Important: it is extremely comfortable to work while sitting, so if you decided to bring in something new to the interior and give yourself a treat, plan a pullout shelf under one of cabinets of work surface or get a high (bar) stool.
Overhead cabinets are to be located not less than 450 mm from the work surface, it is necessary, in order to accommodate freely all used electrical appliances (a food processor, a coffee-machine, a toaster etc). The height of standard cabinets is 600 mm, perforce you can buy 900-mm cabinets. They will exactly reach the ceiling in typical flats. Even if after all this, there are some things left and there is some vacant space on top, we finish the composition by entresol shelves up to the ceiling (open or closed ones) or a cornice with inbuilt lamps. Corner wall-mounted cabinets have either open shelves, or a folding door, which makes all the contents visible; the rotating shelf is remarkable for its capacity and convenience.
The distance between the work surface and overhead cabinets is called the apron. With regard to the work surface the main thing for the apron is to be in harmony with it as to colour and texture. For instance, a glossy table top and glazed tiles, mat colour of the work surface and mat apron (covered with mat washable wallpapers or imitation of tiles).
Such attention to the image of the apron is connected with the fact that it should protect the wall from dirtying, for example, from grease that can be easily washed off. The work surface is often overloaded with objects and their abundance induces the feeling of discomfort. We will free it with the help of the apron. Letâs fix the microwave oven on brackets, arrange the parade of species on the miniature shelves and place the small metal items and knives on the magnetic panel. One more nuance: the decorative nook (plinth), made of water-resistant materials, will protect the back surfaces of on-floor cabinets from ingress of moisture.
When you place standard furniture, there may be narrow gaps between separate elements or between the furniture and the wall. Use them â put a narrow shelf or a table in this gap. For example, a movable table will increase the active surface and will be used as a serving table.
A narrow socle will prove useful for storing preparation plates, towels, bottles. Select the same materials for these inbuilt constructions as those used for main furniture. Kitchen furniture made from natural hard wood (oak, cherry, beech, nut-tree) and work surface from granite and marble look impressive and respectable.
Ultramodern directions of finishing are represented by metal surfaces (stainless steel, aluminum) and heat-resistant glass. Inexpensive surfaces can be made of laminated plastic, ceramic tiles, plastic. All these materials are rather practical and differ in the ways of installation and operation: laminated plastics is deformed by high temperatures, the tiles can crack as a result of unsuccessful landing of a heavy pan, plastic is vulnerable to scratches, but in contrast to laminated plastic it withstands high temperature almost without deformation. No kitchen can do without silent assistants, such as a gas cooker, refrigerator, sink. Selection of equipment depends only on you. When the kitchen is small, the equipment and sink are to be compact.
There are sinks of various shapes and dimensions; in our opinion, it is better to select a round sink made from stainless steel. It is smaller than the square one, yet everyone, who has ever used a round sink, will agree that it is more convenient for washing and cleaning, and besides it has a more aesthetic look.
It is very convenient, if the sink has additional ribbed trays for drying dishware, the water then does not spill on the surface of the table top and gradually trickles down to the sink. There are models, where the sink is combined with a drying apparatus, but if you have a dishwasher, you can do without a drying apparatus. Instead, choose a sink with two additional compartments for wetting cutlery and rinsing washed dishware. The drawback of the combined multisection sink is that it takes up too much space. If you have some room, buy a wider 800-mm table top instead of a standard 600-mm one. Then the part of the table top that adjoins the wall can be lifted for 15-20 mm â and you will have a convenient shelf. Besides under the table top you can have a special cavity 20 cm deep that will allow you to conceal drainage equipment. As a result, we get additional space under the sink, where you can put a dishwasher and arrange shelves for cleaners on the remaining space.
The main principle of placing the sink is convenience. It should not be located far from the gas cooker and be connected with it via a common work surface. If the kitchen is small and you planned it as a single line (please refer to the previous article), place the sink in the center, and refrigerator and the gas cooker on each side. A sink in the corner looks good in a big kitchen. The main advantage is economy of space. It is possible to plan a âkitchen islandâ; in this case the sink perfectly fits into the center of the composition.
One more âmustâ of the kitchen interior is the gas cooker. Modern cookers with burners and an oven have the same height as the furniture, that is why there are no problems with breaking off the sole horizontal work surface. Nevertheless, if the cooker does not match this parameter, it is preferable to choose models with a flap that closes the burners, when food has been cooked.
Inbuilt kitchen equipment is more expensive, yet more convenient. You can use any combination of equipment at your discretion. This principle is called âdominoâ. The basic modules are gas and electric burners, an oven, a cooking panel. Delicatessen-lovers will install a grill, a deep-fryer, a steamer, a brazier. You are absolutely free in the flight of your fancy and can endlessly enrich your arsenal of kitchen innovations. Work with inbuilt models is practical, because you use minimum dishware and have maximum pleasure from cooking. Also important is the fact that cooker hoods are inbuilt as well, they absorb smoke and soot in the horizontal, but not vertical direction. A substantial drawback that prevents many people from buying inbuilt equipment is its high price.
A small fridge, as well as the washing machine, can be put under the work surface. If you need a big fridge, donât forget about the law of non-breaking off the work surface, when you place it.
So, you have taken care about all kitchen components, and in conclusion add to the interior some personal charm, because its âfaceâ should reflect the traits of your personality.
Your imagination will prompt what elements of décor are relevant in your interior, these can be flowers, paintings, porcelain collections or just cute trifles. The designers of the best repair and construction companies will help you orientate in the endless variety of kitchen furniture and household appliances. With their help your kitchen will be not only convenient and cozy, but will also become a unique reflection of your personality.

What should I choose Heavy Equipment Operating or Cosmetology?
Posted on Dec 05, 2009 under Heavy Equipment | 1 CommentI have been going to college for awhile now and was going to do nursing. But as the times progress I realize its not my passion. I am interested in either heavy equipment operating or cosmetology, completely different fields but both totally interesting. I really want to do Heavy Equipment because i know its something that i will love(my husband does it for a living). But I am so drawn to makeup and hair and could see myself doing that everyday for the rest of my life. What do you think would be a better career?
Perhaps, one thought should be to decide whether or not you want to work inside or out. If you work outside, there will be days when you will not be able to work due to weather. Now working with cosmetology is an inside job and you would be able to work more often without worry of the weather. If you work with heavy equipment you will be sitting most of the time, while in cosmetology you will be standing on your feet 99% of your time at work. You will meet more people in cosmetology and will have many converstions, while on heavy equipment you will be most of the time alone. You will also be able to meet more new people in cosmetology. Your choices are veried a great deal. Good luck in what ever you choose. I’m sure you will be good at what ever you decide.

Construction Careers - List Of Options For Job Seekers
Posted on Dec 04, 2009 under Heavy Equipment | No Comment
If construction is the field you wish to enter into, what type of advancement is available?
Construction is a major part of out society today. New structures are erected all the time; bridges, housing units, factories, educational facilities and office buildings. Construction workers are involved in structure improvements, innovations, maintenance and repairs, as well as additions to existing structures and renovations to old structures. This list is endless, as is the advancement in a career of construction.
There are three major areas of the construction industry…general contractors, specialty trade contractors, and civil engineering and heavy construction contractors.
General or building contractors construct industrial, commercial and residential buildings. These construction workers start from the blueprint given to them from the designer and end with a fully functional and solid building or structure. They not only work clocely with the designer of a specific building or structure, they also work closely with the specialty trade contractors. Occasionally, labors of the general or building contractors will advance to the specialty trade contractors. Construction workers will aso specialize in specific or types of construction, such as underground construction, trucking hazardous materials or equipment to designated sights.
Specialty trade contractors are responsible for electrical work, painting, corpentry and plumbing related construction. Some specialty trade contractors work specifically on the foundation or basement structures. There are different levels in the specialty trade contractors. The bottom level of specialty trade contractors is being an apprentice. The next level is becoming a skiilled trade journeyman. Then the highter level is supervisor.
The third major area of constraction is civil engineering and heavy construction contactors. These perform a large range of jobs; highways, demolition sites, shaft and tunnel excavation and heavy construction sites. Crewmembers work with other laborers to identify, distribute supplies and materials, as well as control traffic within the work zone.
To achieve advancement in a construction career, many labors specialize in specific areas; such as, construction ewuipment operators, by apprenticeship programs or on the job skills training. Equipment operators use machinery to transport heavy materials, earth and other construction materials on site. Some equipment operated is used for clearing the land for buildings, roads and shopping malls. other equipment would apply concrete and asphalt to highways and roads. There are trench diggers, cement trucks, tracto and trailer operators.
Career advancement for construction workers will offer formal training programs. One such program is the operating engineer apprenticeship program; another trains in blueprint reading for the structure, electrical and plumbing. It is expected the job outlook in the advancement of a career in construction will remain positive for the next seven years.

Home business security isn’t just about protecting your PC from online intruders. You also need to protect your equipment, your home business information and your furnishings from unwelcome intruders. Here are some tips.
A few years back a security firm conducted an independent survey of computer theft. One insurance carrier alone reported 387,000 incidents of notebooks being stolen and another 16,000 PCs. This was only in the United States. This computer firm insures against such theft (a home business must for your crucial equipment) as well as damaged that is caused by accidents such as power surges, lightning, vandalism, water, and natural disasters. Of these situations, the report determined that the three most common for both home business, personal use and office environment property, were accidental damage (number one), theft (the second most prevalent) and power surges.
This firm’s protection includes complete replacement or repair of the home business computer system, with no deduction if the system must be replaced. Computers in transit (such as laptops you’re carrying on business trips) are covered to $10,000. The firm also provides for reimbursement on temporary rentals as well as protecting you from any computer fraud perpetrated on your online home business by staff or others. A wise home business owner would purchase such protection.
You can also protect your home business computer from theft in several ways. Not only can you help protect it from being taken in the first place but, in the event it is stolen you can protect its contents from intrusion and aid law enforcement in its retrieval and the capture of the thieves.
There are several firms offering a sort of Lojack for computers. Some of the products and services help deter theft with the use of alarms, while most are more into retrieval and protection of the data inside. With the majority of these home business equipment protection firms, all data on your PC or laptop is immediately locked down and inaccessible to anyone, rendering the computer useless to the thief except for parts. Most of these programs will let you pick and choose what you’d like someone locked out of so you don’t necessarily have to wipe out your primary programs such as Office and others. They all send a signal that, once the thief starts up the stolen computer, indicates the address and / or phone location of your stolen equipment.
For those who want to keep their home business equipment safe at home there are clamps and cables such as bike lock cables that secure your equipment to whatever heavy home business furnishing, pipes or other permanent fixtures that will make it nearly impossible for a thief to remove the computer from your home business environment. What’s important to keep in mind about this, too, is that your lock, clamp or cable doesn’t need to be fool proof. Most burglars enter the homes and home business offices that are the most accessible. If they can’t enter your home, enter your home office and remove your online business equipment in under ten minutes they’ll give up and attempt their theft at a home whose entry and equipment is more easily accessible.

Machinery, a Brilliant Perspective Market in China
Posted on Nov 15, 2009 under Heavy Equipment | No Comment
China Machinery Industry
The machinery industry has a major bearing on China’s manufacturing industry. In 2004, China’s machinery industry accounted for 17.0% and 10.6% respectively of national sales and exports. Rapid economic development in China has led to a corresponding increase in industrial machinery. Almost all leading international players have formed joint ventures in China including John-Deere, Daewoo, Hitachi, Parker, Sanyo, ABB, Emerson, Siemens and Volvo.
Chinese machine builders are also enhancing their international participation through larger exports as well as a higher degree of internationalization. At an average annual growth rate (AAGR) of 12.0%, in 2010 consumption is estimated to reach $910.14 billion. In the near future, China will be an important player in the global industrial machinery marketplace.
1. Agriculture Machinery
Today Chinaâs agriculture is a new era of historical development. In a long period of time from now on, expanding operating scope, industrialized management, sustainable development, and scientific and technical innovation in agriculture shall be the four tendencies and driving forces. The development and adjustment of economic construction in agriculture requires higher level and larger scope of mechanization. Now mechanization has already developed from the traditional growing wheat to rice, maize, from traditional tillage to protecting tillage, from machine for producing grain crops to oil crops and cotton economic crops, from growing to livestock farming, aquatic products industry, fruit growing, garden farmland and manufacturing agriculture products etc. So there is a bright future of market for farm machinery.
2. Construction Machinery
Construction machinery is the largest customer of hydraulic products, which makes up about more than 40% of the total market volume of hydraulic products. The percentage shall further increase in the future. China is in an extensive developing and constructing period, thus the demand of construction machinery in the coming several decades will up, and China will be the largest market in the world.
3. Metallurgical and Mining Equipment
The total demand of steel in China reached 352 million tons in 2005. Therefore steel and iron industry shall speed up the adjustment of product structure. In the next 10?15 years, put stress on manufacturing flat plate steel, especially sheet steel and products with high additional value. State should enlarge the investment for them and make the degree of self-sufficiency of steel reach 90%.
For this reason, China need to use advanced machines to replace the backward machine, to realize continuous and automatic production with equipments in large scale, and upgrade the industry. Meanwhile China will give great impetus to process of group-collection for iron and steel industry, carry out technical reform of manufacturing process for large enterprises, make every effort to raise the utilization rate of steel by 10%?20%, take further steps to save energy by 15%?20%. Consequently, many new continuous casting machine and cold/hot rolling mill etc are needed.
4. Machine Tools
Along with the progress of manufacturing technique, Chinaâs demands for high precision, high-efficiency CNC machines, is getting more and more. By the year 2010, the yearly output of CNC machine tools will be approximately 50,000 units. Now, in China there are about 3 million machine tools in use, and it is expected that about 4 million units machine tools will be in use by the year 2010.
5. Plastic Machinery
The demand for plastic products will increase remarkably to cater for the development in the fields of agriculture, automobile, electronics, light, foodstuff, packaging and construction industries and the improved living standard of the people as well. At present, the total output value of plastic in China has come to the forefront of the world, but the annual plastic consumption per capita is only 14.5 kg, less than the 20 kg world average annual consumption per capita and far from the 50 kg to 100 kg annual consumption per capita in developed countries. It is expected by the year 2010 to be a litter bit higher than the world average annual consumption per capita. The growing consumption of plastic products provides the opportunity for developing plastic machinery. It is expected that the annual demand for plastic machinery will be about 150, 000 units by the year 2010.
6. Petrochemical Equipment
Energy problem shall be the restricted factor in a long period of time in developing national economy. Accelerating the development of energy industry is of great urgency. State need to accelerate the development of petroleum and natural gas, except the project to deliver natural gas from the west to the east and other petrochemical projects are under construction, in the period of 11th five year plan shall be built 5000 km high pressure crude oil pipeline. Besides, in this period the demand of oil refining, ethylene and three synthetic materials (synthetic resin, synthetic rubber, synthetic fibre) shall increase at the rate of 6%?9%. So, there need collection and delivery equipment for oil and gas and large-scale and high-efficiency petrochemical equipment with the emphasis laid on the development of large-scale petroleum prospecting and drilling equipment for desert and ocean, large complete equipment with a yearly output of 600 000 ton ethylene, 450 000 ton synthetic ammonia, 800, 000 ton urea and chemical fibres etc.
8. Food-stuff, Packaging, Electronics, Light-industry and Textile Equipment
The emphasis is laid on the development of various high-efficiency, energy saving, multifunctional and automated complete sets of equipment and production lines, such as various liquid filling lines, production lines of fast foods and puffed foods, sterile medicine production lines and packaging lines, bag-making and bag-filling lines, suitcase making lines, high-speed tobacco processing machinery, air-jet looms, automatic winders and production lines of various household electrical appliances and electronic apparatus.
9. Harbor Terminal Facilities
In order to meet the demand of domestic construction and enlarged export and import trade, task for building coastal port and inland port is very heavy, a great number of ship loaders, car dumpers, stacking machines and container cargo handling equipment will be additionally provided or updated.
10. Ship-building and Ocean Engineering Equipment
By the year 2010, the total yearly production capacity of ship building industry will be about 10 million ton, account for 30% of the world annual output, with the emphasis laid on the development of large ocean-going tankers, LPG ships, container ships, engineering vessels, bulk ships, high-speed passenger liners and ocean-going fishing vessels. Ocean engineering equipment shall be put stress on building large engineering facilities for recovering ocean petroleum, such as large self-rising drilling ship, deep sea drilling machine, heavy-load lift, large crane and piping erection ship.
11. Power Generating Equipment
At present, electric supply has become the bottle neck, which restricts the development of economy. In the coming 20 years, the largest power-building market will be in China. Water, coal, nuclear and gas are the four pillar for power generating in China. It is estimated that the installed capacity by the year 2020 will be 960 000 megawatt, but the installed capacity per capita only 0.67 kW, less than half of that in developed countries. In future, every year need to add new installed capacity of more than 200 000?300 000 megawatt.
12. Environmental Protection Equipment
In order to keep the development of economy, society and environment well coordinated, and make the ecological damages and environmental pollution well controlled, environmental quality and comprehensive utilization of resources are raised further, state will add the investment for ecological preservation and environmental protection. China is putting emphasis on developing: urban sewage and solid wastes disposal and comprehensive utilization equipment, urban and industrial noise control equipment and atmospheric pollution control equipment.
