The idea is to have financial and directional control on a large construction project (restaurant/lounge). To avoid being ripped off by construction companies or individuals, I want to set up a construction company that would essentially win the bid and outsource to individuals and companies. Those would all work under the umbrella of my company, and would be payed as technicians who brought their experience. My company would be responsible for procurement of building material and some equipment. What do you guys think?

I hate sitting in a classroom listening to some asshat talk, it’s even more infuriating than watching television. I know that Heavy Equipment operators have to receive training to get their certificate, does this mean that they have to take a bunch of completely unrelated classes like algebra and writing? Or do they get to work in a garage learning how to use these machines?

If they do, is there any kind of skill that I could learn that would get me decent pay without having to ride a desk to learn it?

A few hours of classroom instructions would be required for certification.

Hi! I have a 92 Dodge Dakota, V6 3.9 Magnum with a 4 speed auto trans with overdrive.
I am thinking about pulling 6X16 landscape trailer with a double axle (pictured below) with 2,000 lbs of landscape equipment. 3500 lbs approximate gross trailer weight.
Will this be safe? Will the trailer be too heavy for the truck?
I currently pull a 5×10 landscape trailer with a gross weight of approximately 1700lbs and its somewhat heavy for the truck.
Will I F*ck up the truck pulling such heavy load? In the owner’s manual, it said the max trailer pulling capacity for this particular vehicle is 8,200 lbs..
The truck CAN pull it if i press the peddle down hard enough.. But my biggest fear jackknifing the trailer if I press the brakes because its a light truck.. Or the truck will have a hard time stopping when the trailer gets going.. Any advice is strongly appreciated!

OK, I know I’m sometimes out spoken, but having owned and driven pick-up trucks (mostly pulling boats, I’ve found that A Van is a better tow vehicle. I think it’s power/weight distribution, Wheel base length etc. Having said that, If your in business, and hauling landscape equipment, you need to carry a crew to operate it…….so, I think a van is better than a pick-up. I also think your Dakota is borderline for this weight size trailer. As I’ve said before I have a ton of miles pulling boats, sometimes big boats with a Dodge Van. You need to be mind-full of the load at all times. thankfully when I did have problems it worked out OK, but it’s better to have a bigger tow vehicle.
