PS: "hold" is always wrong. There is no reason to own something that you wouldn’t want to buy today. It may have made sense thirty years ago when you only had brokers charging full commission, but today you can get out of something and into something else for only $15.

I have recently graduated from college. I took a Heavy Equipment/ truck and coach Technician program that lasted 2 years. I have to admit I didnt really have a huge background in this, other than changing oil and greasing machinery.
I got a job that lasted about 30 days, guy said I wasnt exprienced enough. Which I thought was obsurd considering I thought an apprenticeship was going to be to learn the trade, but I guess not. I did take longer to do things than the experienced fully qualified mechanics, and didnt know how to do certain things, but isnt an apprentice supposed to learn? Thats what I thought, until he fired me.
Can anyone please help me with how I can become a better mechanic. Other than the obvious of tinkering with stuff. Does anyone have any pointers or advice? Help, i seriously do want to be a good mechanic some day, not just one that gets by.
I realize the question "how can I become a better mechanic" is pretty general, and maybe a dumb question. But I need advice, help. I dont want to have to go back to school for something else, this is what I want to do.
What the guy was saying was that when you were in school to be a technician on heavy machinery (ie 16 wheelers) you should’ve learned enough to work on cars because they work the same way for the most part. While you may not have taken longer than the experienced mechanics maybe your work was sub-par or maybe he just didn’t like you.
You should always take a failure as a learning experience and not let it get to you. My advice…would be to be an army reservist as a fleet mechanic and get the practical mechanical expertise you are looking for (hopefully without going to Iraq). Or buy a cheap beat up not running modern car, rip everything out then put it back together and make it run.

Three Mexican citizens have been sentenced to U.S. federal prison for their roles in stealing heavy equipment and selling it to people in Central America, authorities said today.
A fourth man, a Houston resident, is scheduled to be sentenced later this year, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Houston.
Federal authorities said that Victor Antonio Garcia, 27, was sentenced to four years and three months in prison and ordered to pay $380,000 in restitution; Rito Jasso-Zorilla, 32, was sentenced to three years and five months in prison and ordered to pay $12,056 in restitution; and Orlando Gonzalez Huerta, 29, was sentenced two years in prison.
Yuri David Melendez, 42, of Houston, is scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 16.
He faces up to five years in prison for his role in the scheme as well as up to life prison on a separate conviction for narcotics trafficking.
Federal officials said that Melendez received requests from contacts in Central America for the purchase of stolen tractor trucks, trailers, tankers and other Heavy Equipment.
Melendez targeted equipment at Houston-area industrial and commercial sites and then recruited others to helped steal it and transport it to Central America, usually Honduras and Guatemala. They would drive the purloined equipment to staging locations near Edinburg and then take it to Central America.
The customers paid Melendez after the equipment arrived, federal officials said.
The scheme began in about 2001. Melendez was arrested in January at his Houston home and he pleaded guilty in May

Do the crime serve the time. They should have got longer just as any American would have.

Im wondering what the best way to find this kind of job would be. Im moving to another state and want to work asap. Online job sites don’t have much. Clist has 1 or 2 at a time. Is visiting jobsites and speaking with whoevers in charge effective? Im army reserve and am 21(super(heavy+light equipment))echo and hope this will spark some interest with potential employers. Any other ideas?
If by heavy machinery, you mean bobcats and stuff then you should work for the government. My step-moms dad works for the city of Evansville and does pretty good stuff digging trenches and helping with the water run offs.

How to tone your butt is the most frequently asked question, especially among women. This is because for women, the fat tends to deposit there more than other areas. To make things worse, all the fabulous clothes that women wants to wear, needs a firm and tone butt! To be honest, nothing looks better than a tight pair on jeans on a well tone butt.
A lot of people gain weight on their butt without them noticing. First of all, you can really see in front of the mirror. You will only notice it when somebody makes a comment and by that time, it is already too late.
But not to worry, you can still lose that fat on the butt and thighs. Proper weight training, dieting and cardio workout can help you achieve the tone butt. The only thing is that you have to patient because it might be the last part that tones down. Understand that losing body fat is not an overnight process. It takes time and effort but surely the results is well worth the wait.
The butt muscle, which is also called the glutes, is just like any other muscle in the body. It just have o be hammer with weights and it will tone up. Coupled with cardio and dieting, the fat will melt off.
Here are some workout, cardio workout and dieting tips to help you tone up the butt.
Tone Your Butt 1
Workout you legs with weights! A lot of people hate training legs. This is because the leg muscles are usually covered and it is not so noticeable compared to the arms and shoulders. This is a very strong reason for you to consistently train your legs. There are 3 leg exercises that is a must do for the butt. These exercises are the barbell squats, 45 degrees leg press and the walking lunges.
These are excellent compound exercise that works more than one muscle at a time. The barbell squats and walking lunges are free weght exercises and require lots of effort in balancing during the exercises. This will put extra amount of pressure on the butt. Do not go to fast in the exercise. The tempo should be one second up and two seconds down.
Tone Your Butt 2
Do not forget about the hamstrings. Make sure you perform these 2 super hamstring exercises that can really workout the butt as well. The exercises are the dead lift and seated or lying down hamstring curls. Perform these hamstrings exercises at the end of the leg workout.
Tone Your Butt 3
Perform isolation exercises as well. These exercises can specifically target the butt muscle without involving other muscle groups. Make sure your perform these exercises at the end of the workout because if you tire the butt exercises at the beginning of the workout, you would not have enough energy to do the other leg exercises like squats and leg presses.
Isolation exercises for the butt are the glute machine and the abductor machine. An excellent way to use the abductor is to lean forward while keeping your back straight. Use the drop set technique. A drop set is a set, which consist of 3 sets. The first set uses heavy weights and low reps, for the second set, reduce the weight but increase the reps and for the third set, increase the reps again and decrease the weight.
Tone Your Butt 4
Choose your cardio machine that works the butt muscle more. Although all cardio machines are made to achieve the small goal, which is to burn body fat, the cardio machines focuses on different muscle groups. The best cardio machines to tone up the butt are the stair master or stepper, the new Technogym Wave and the elliptical trainer done backwards. Perform 3 to 5 cardio sessions a week for optimum results. One cardio session should be about forty-five minutes at the intensity of 75 to 85 percent of your maximum heart rate.
Tone Your Butt 5
You can also workout your butt without any gym equipment. Use the stairs more and avoid the escalator and lifts. Climbing up stairs is one of the best ways to tone up the butt. So, the next time you plan to take the lift, skip it and head on for the stairs for some extra workout. You can also tone up the butt by squeezing your butt muscles and holding it for the one minute. This is what we call an isometric contraction where the muscles are working but there is not movement involved. Do three sets, holding the contraction for at least one minute.
There you go ladies and gentleman. A fabulous workout to get a well-toned butt! Use this workout once a week and make sure you have at least 72 hours of rest before repeating this routine if you intend to do twice a week. Make sure the intensity is high during the workouts, which means, rest should be one minute to one and a half minute. The weights you use should be challenging as well, if you are breezing through your workout, you are not getting much done.

All you hear these days is that credit markets are tightening and small business is having a harder time financing equipment. That’s not always true, though. You just have to know where to look.
Financing equipment for your small business becomes an even more important strategy when the economy is down. As it may be harder to obtain any new lines of credit, it is important to preserve your current lines of credit and working capital.
Most businesses need some sort of equipment in order to operate. If you are looking to financing medical equipment, IT software and equipment, trucking or commercial, construction and Heavy Equipment, the needs may vary but the common goal is the same.
The primary goal of business equipment financing is to invest in capital while managing your cash flow and balance sheet. Financing comes in two basic forms: secured lending and leasing. In secured financing you own the equipment while the lender has a lien against it, and you make regular payments until the lien is paid off. In leasing, a lessor controls the asset, and transfers possession of that asset to the business for a specific time period in exchange for periodic payments.
So what are the advantages of financing?
Preserving your working capital is one such advantage. Paying cash for a large expenditure creates a risk on many levels, especially for a small business. What if your business equipment does not have the effects you hoped for, i.e. increased profits, efficiency, etc? If you paid cash, your cash flow can become tighter. Using your existing lines of credit can be risk as well; what if your lines of credit are maxed out by purchasing equipment and the bank is not willing to open any more lines for you?
You can even still find lenders that do not require a down payment. When you finance the full cost of equipment, it reduces your risk and transfers it to the lender.
Financing equipment also offers a hedge against inflation. When you finance equipment, the lender has a delayed use of funds because it does not get its money all at once. You pay over time. Your money loses value over time due to inflation. However, because you are locked in to a set payment, the risk of inflation is transferred to the lender.
Another thing to consider are the tax advantages. In addition to the usual tax advantages, from time to time Congress may vote for additional benefits as well, as they did for 2008. You lose certain tax advantages when you pay cash rather than finance your equipment.
You could also acquire more or better equipment by the use of equipment financing rather than dipping into your cash.
If you do your research, you can still find small business equipment financing loan options. The internet is a good source. There are still lenders who are willing to invest in your business, even in down times.
